GDPR Policy

The Fosse Co-op Camera Club GDPR policy.
GDPR is an acronym for the General Data Protection Regulation which replaces the earlier law on data protection (the 1998 Data Protection Act). It came into force in May 2018.

Personal data - which includes any or all of the following: names and titles plus postal addresses, phone numbers and email addresses - of members of the Club are collected and stored by the Membership Secretary, and may be shared with any or all of the elected officers of the Club, who are: The Chairman, the Treasurer and the Hon. General Secretary, plus other members of the committee when a need arises.
Members’ postal ands or email addresses are used to inform members of Club events, activities and other aspects of the functions of the Club, including the publication of names of contributors to the Club’s annual exhibition.
This personal data will not be made available to any other person without the express and explicit permission of the member concerned.
Any member may have their personal data changed on request made to the membership secretary.
Any member may have their personal data removed by application to the Club’s membership secretary, however this would mean that members requesting removal of their address would no longer receive club information.
The personal data of any member who subsequently leaves the club – for any reason – will be removed from the list of such data.
